Portland Head Lighthouse, at the entrance to Portland Harbor in Maine, has a history that reads like a Who’s Who from the early years of the nation. It was the first lighthouse completed by the United States government, and is the most visited, painted, and photographed lighthouse in New England. Enjoy!!! Taken as a thunderstorm moved on us while in Boquerón Beach in Puerto Rico. Had to be quick because I didn't have any weather protection for my equipment. Enjoy!!! Stormy Skies"I had never before thought of how awful the relationship must be between the musician and his instrument. He has to fill it, this instrument, with the breath of life, his own. He has to make it do what he wants it to do. And a piano is just a piano. It’s made out of so much wood and wires and little hammers and big ones, and ivory. While there’s only so much you can do with it, the only way to find this out is to try; to try and make it do everything.” – James Baldwin Enjoy!!! Black and WhiteToday's picture is a long exposure of a rock formation taken near the municipality of Barceloneta in Puerto Rico. Water turns to a fine mist when you open the shutter long enough, that's why you see it like that. Enjoy!!! The RockOld San Juan is surrounded by a lot of Sentry Boxes used in the past to defend the City. There's a lot of history and is such a beautiful place to visit and sightseeing. Enjoy!!! Sentry Box |
